JHMCS welcomes Ivory Coast to the German Excellence Alliance

Professional advice and preparation for people planning their professional future in Germany

We are delighted to welcome Côte d'Ivoire as a new location within our international network of the German Excellence Alliance.

Dr. Dodohore will oversee our activities on-site and run a German language school. This will create a local point of contact for people who want to learn about their professional and educational opportunities in Germany and prepare specifically for a possible future in Germany.

Together with Jason-Heinen Management Consultancy Services (JHMCS), we would like to offer interested parties professional, structured and transparent consulting services.

Consultation instead of mediation

JHMCS is neither a personnel placement agency nor a recruitment agency. Our work primarily consists of informing people about possible educational, training, and career paths, supporting them in their preparation, and providing guidance through administrative and organizational processes.

Depending on the individual's starting point, this may include information and advice on the following topics, for example:

• vocational training opportunities in Germany,

• Opportunities for skilled worker immigration,

• Requirements for various residence and visa procedures,

• Recognition of foreign professional qualifications,

• required documents and records,

• German language preparation,

We consider each case individually. Not every educational or professional path automatically leads to the possibility of entry or residence in Germany. The specific requirements depend, among other things, on qualifications, the purpose of the stay, personal circumstances, and the applicable legal regulations.

A special note: WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguards List

Especially when it comes to the international mobility of nursing professionals and those seeking nursing training, a responsible and ethical approach is particularly important.

Côte d'Ivoire is listed on the WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguards List. This list identifies countries that, according to WHO criteria, face particular challenges regarding the availability of health workers and healthcare provision.

The WHO therefore recommends special protection and support measures for these countries and advises against the active international recruitment of healthcare professionals from these countries. This applies in particular to targeted, proactive recruitment measures by employers or recruitment agencies.

However, the inclusion of a country on the WHO list does not mean that individual nurses or other healthcare professionals are not allowed to independently pursue professional activity or training abroad.

The WHO explicitly clarifies that the list does not restrict the individual decision of health professionals regarding international mobility. Passive applications for advertised positions and certain other forms of mobility remain possible.

For us, this means that ethical, transparent and responsible advice is of particular importance in this area.

We therefore do not want to encourage interested individuals to leave the country or actively contribute to the emigration of urgently needed healthcare professionals. Rather, we want to provide objective and transparent advice to people who proactively explore their options.

Particularly in the case of people already working in the healthcare sector, consideration should be given to the potential impact of international migration on the healthcare system of the country of origin.

Individual assessment is also necessary for those seeking nursing training in Germany. A planned training program in Germany does not automatically equate to actively recruiting already employed healthcare professionals. The decisive factors are the specific circumstances, the approach taken, and the applicable legal and ethical framework.

The WHO also emphasizes that international mobility of health professionals should be structured in a way that protects the rights and well-being of workers while simultaneously strengthening the health systems of both the countries of origin and destination. The WHO Global Code of Practice serves as an important international reference framework in this regard.

For the German Excellence Alliance, this means: We do not want to promote international mobility at the expense of the healthcare systems of the countries of origin. We want to support it responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with international ethical principles.

Transparency and realistic expectations

A key component of our work is to create realistic expectations.

We want to explain to interested parties in an understandable way what the requirements are for a possible path to Germany, what steps may be necessary and what documents or proof may be required.

We do not guarantee the granting of a visa, the recognition of a qualification, entry or a residence permit.

The relevant decisions are made exclusively by the respective competent authorities and institutions on the basis of the applicable legal provisions.

Our aim is to empower people to make their own decisions based on understandable and transparent information.

German as a basis for a career path

A special component of our cooperation in the Ivory Coast is the German language school run by Dr. Dodohore.

Good German language skills can be of great importance for many educational and career paths in Germany. They not only support the fulfillment of possible language requirements, but also communication in everyday professional life and personal integration.

Therefore, we consider language preparation to be an important part of comprehensive preparation for a possible stay in Germany.

Preparing for job interviews

Preparing for talks with potential employers or training companies can also be an important part of the personal preparation process.
